Disable view functionality

Contents[Hide]

1. Overview

Application privileges assigned on user groups and accounts by an administrator determine which application functionality and UI options are accessible to each non-administrator user. Some of these privileges, such as the ability to use the context menu, can also be disabled in a particular view or on each of its visualizations. Disabling application privileges this way will apply to all non-administrator users viewing that dashboard, report, or other view, even if they are otherwise granted those privileges.

You can also customize view functionality, such as which options should be available under Re-Visualize in the context menu, rather than disabling the corresponding privilege completely.

Note
The properties on a view or visualization can only disable application privileges. To grant additional privileges to users, an administrator must set their application privileges.

2. Disable application privileges on the view
